Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Scheduler.

The Maintenance Scheduler will play a crucial role in supporting the operational goals of the facility by overseeing the planning and organization of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks within their assigned area. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Superintendent or the Departmental Maintenance Technical Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, organize, and schedule all maintenance activities performed by skilled personnel in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Act as a liaison and coordinator among area maintenance, central maintenance teams, production, supply chain, contractors, and engineering staff.
  • Serve as a technical resource and provide backup support for other maintenance schedulers.
  • Deliver comprehensive, step-by-step plans, including necessary parts and materials to the Crafts and unit supervisors, enabling them to complete their tasks effectively.
  • Assist in establishing work priorities for crafts through discussions with maintenance and production supervisors.
  • Manage and oversee departmental safety lists, backlogs, logbook entries, TPM tags, preventative and predictive maintenance work orders, and other metrics to ensure timely scheduling and completion of tasks.
  • Lead preparations for equipment shutdowns, reviewing schedules and assisting Maintenance Leadership in making necessary adjustments to ensure timely return to production. Post-shutdown, participate in the review process to implement improvements for future operations.
  • Integrate ABS (Lean Manufacturing) methodologies into the maintenance processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, or technical fields through training or job experience.
  • Background in maintenance planning within a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Oracle EAM (Enterprise Asset Management).
