Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive clinical and distributive medication management services to patients undergoing abdominal solid organ transplant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based medication therapy regimens and monitoring plans to patients undergoing abdominal solid organ transplant.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols for medication management.
  • Participate in the development of educational programs and materials for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Conduct medication use evaluations and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Precept pharmacy residents, students, and staff members in the area of transplant pharmacy.
  • Provide patient consultations, assessments, and education on medication management.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
  • License to practice pharmacy in Massachusetts required.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience required.
  • 1 year of pharmacy residency or 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharmacy Residency PGY2 specialty experience or equivalent experience.
  • Board certification in a Pharmacotherapy specialty.
  • Project management and program development experience.
