Technical Engineering Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software development principles, a passion for innovation, and a talent for problem-solving. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your expertise will be essential in translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, and driving process improvements within our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new features based on product requirements and collaboration with the product team.
  • Implement robust unit and integration test coverage to ensure high-quality applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to analyze and identify issues in product requirements and implement corrective actions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions through design discussions and implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to established software development guidelines and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile process improvements within SquareTrade and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience in Java and understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL and version control systems like GitHub.
  • Familiarity with Scrum methodology and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Good communication skills and a strong team player.
