Job Overview
This role, reporting to the Creative Services Manager, plays a crucial part in overseeing content requests including design, writing, proofreading, and analytics. The position also supports the management of ICANN's social media presence, encompassing both paid and organic campaigns, messaging, publishing, and translation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Assist in the upkeep and management of the project tracking system, collaborating with IT on enhancements and generating bi-annual reports on content team analytics.
Respond to daily intake requests promptly, prioritizing tasks within the project management system.
Facilitate the distribution of materials for both internal and external communications.
For the ICANN community, manage content requests and budget allocations, liaising with community leaders for design and print needs, coordinating with designers to fulfill these requests, and overseeing feedback incorporation, translations, printing, shipping, and engagement efforts.
Social Media Oversight:
Support the ideation, creation, and publishing of content for organic and paid campaigns across various platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, Instagram, and SoundCloud.
Assist in monitoring social media engagement and compiling reports on performance metrics.
Event Preparation:
Help manage the creation of graphics, web content, newsletters, mobile applications, and social media content for ICANN meetings, adhering to the project management protocols established by the content team.
Additional Duties:
Engage in writing and proofreading tasks, ensuring adherence to the established style guide.
Manage statements of work and invoicing as necessary.
Update website content as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exceptional project management capabilities.
Proficient in project management software.
Deep understanding of communications and its significance within an organization.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to produce and edit content under tight deadlines.
Expertise in managing social media platforms and executing both organic and paid campaigns, along with knowledge of current social media trends and practices.
Proficient in various software tools including social media management, analytics, and content creation applications.
Strong analytical skills with a solid grasp of online user behavior.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle pressure effectively.
Familiarity with translation and accessibility standards.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism.
A minimum of two years of relevant experience or equivalent training in social media campaigns, project management, and content writing/proofreading.
