About the Role

Maine Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Care Planning
    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans to address patient needs and promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Education and Training
    • Provide education and training to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
  • Professional Development
    • Pursue ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote excellence in patient care and safety.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
  • License/Certifications
    • Current RN licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience
    • At least two years' experience in a related field preferred.
