The National Project Manager at BluSky's construction division is a pivotal role that involves extensive travel across the country. The National Project Manager collaborates closely with all stakeholders to guarantee optimal customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000
Additional CAT (Catastrophic) Pay: $750 per day during specific events.
Commission OTE Range: $50,000 - $100,000
Per Diem: $900 weekly for travel-related expenses.
Vehicle Allowance: $500 monthly
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This role necessitates extensive travel throughout the United States, with a hands-on approach to project management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Field Management:
- Establish strong relationships with project stakeholders to foster trust in project management capabilities.
- Execute all contracted scopes following industry Best Practices.
- Ensure all work is appropriately contracted or subcontracted.
- Obtain necessary building permits and comply with all regulatory guidelines.
- Adhere to OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Assist the Project Director with managing change orders.
- Oversee site personnel and subcontractors, promoting safety, quality, and productivity.
- Successfully manage buyout processes, submittals, quality control, safety compliance, scheduling, and project closeout.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and communication.
- Ensure that project work meets the highest industry standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Verify that all subcontractors operate under valid agreements in line with Best Practices.
- Review and approve invoices with clear communication to the project team.
- Accurately project, record, and maintain project costs on budget worksheets.
- Meet or exceed revenue and profit margin targets set by BluSky.
- Develop, update, and present project schedules to stakeholders weekly.
- Guide, mentor, and train junior team members.
- Track change orders and additional project costs through signed documentation and budget updates.
- This position leads and manages site personnel and subcontractors on assigned projects.
- 7+ years of experience in construction project management with projects exceeding $5M.
- Expertise in construction project management, financial oversight, and administrative processes.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity, capable of functioning autonomously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in technology and computer applications.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and local authorities.
- Certifications in OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid.
- Experience in constructing multi-family units, hotels, and multi-building campuses.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of comprehensive construction project management experience.
