Job Summary

The DeLong Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailer equipment to transport materials to designated locations in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Tractor-Trailer Equipment: Safely drive Class A trucks to transport materials to job sites, often on uneven or unfinished surfaces.
  • Maintain Equipment: Perform daily maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the truck inside and out, and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Load and Unload Materials: Tarp loads when necessary, verify gates are closed, and clean spilled material/buildup off the box.
  • Communicate Effectively: Interact with customers and managers, provide delivery service as required by established delivery standards, and observe speed limits and obey D.O.T. regulations.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, talk, walk, and hear. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally and climb ladders.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL: Must have a valid Class A CDL and Federal Medical card.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Intermodal Experience: Intermodal experience is preferred.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: ALL applicants must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
