Community Engagement Specialist


Rockland Federal Credit Union (RFCU) is seeking a qualified Community Engagement Specialist to facilitate lending initiatives and outreach efforts.


The Community Engagement Specialist will cultivate and sustain partnerships with local organizations and businesses, identifying and nurturing strategic alliances to enhance the Credit Union's reputation, visibility, and community influence.

You will represent the Credit Union at various community gatherings, meetings, and outreach events to advocate for lending programs and additional products and services.

Collaboration with the lending team will be essential to design and execute lending solutions and other offerings that cater to community requirements.

Additionally, you will actively engage with new and existing select employee groups (SEGs) through sign-up initiatives and community participation.

Your role will support the Credit Union's strategic objectives and overarching goals.


This position necessitates a bachelor's degree in finance, business management, community development, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in lending, financial services, or community development.

A solid understanding of lending solutions, credit evaluation, and financial guidance is also essential.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities are preferred, coupled with the capacity to foster and maintain relationships with diverse community stakeholders.

A proactive and self-driven approach with a strong dedication to community service will be vital.
