About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team as an engineering assistant. This is a 3-month contract position, with no expectation of contract to hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and perform product validation testing
  • Document and present test results
  • Work with procedures and instructions
  • Perform hands-on testing
  • Utilize strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Develop aptitude for fast-paced learning
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and achieve timely results
  • Work independently or as part of a cross-functional team


Essential Requirements:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
  • Working knowledge of engineering concepts and drawings, including GD&T
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  • Lifting ability of 25 lbs
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Associate degree considered with relevant experience)


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with metrology equipment (Calipers, Optical measurement devices)
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (Minitab preferred)
  • Injection molding process and plastics expertise
  • Root cause analysis methodology (DMAIC) expertise
  • High-volume manufacturing environment experience
  • Project management experience
  • Bilingual Spanish
