Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Petroleum Inspection Specialist to join our team at Coastal Gulf & International, Inc.

About the Job

The Petroleum Inspection Specialist will be responsible for performing routine inspection work in petroleum, petrochemical terminals, and refineries. This includes inspecting equipment, taking product measurements and samples, and verifying the accuracy of measurement equipment.

You will also be required to work safely in the presence of hazardous materials, perform visual cleanliness inspections of tanks, and exercise procedural, safety, and quality requirements specified by Coastal Gulf & International.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspection work in petroleum, petrochemical terminals, and refineries
  • Inspect equipment and take product measurements and samples
  • Verify the accuracy of measurement equipment
  • Work safely in the presence of hazardous materials
  • Perform visual cleanliness inspections of tanks
  • Exercise procedural, safety, and quality requirements specified by Coastal Gulf & International
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructional and technical materials relating to procedures, safety, and applicable government regulations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Working Conditions

This position requires standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 75lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 40lbs, climbing up to 180ft, perceiving color difference, ability to wear personal protective equipment, and strenuous physical activity.

Qualifications
  • Must have internal and external customer service skills
  • TWIC card required
  • IFIA certification preferred

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
