  • We are offering a competitive salary of $93,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice within a specific unit or clinical area.
  • The RN utilizes the nursing process for the delivery and management of patient care, maintains assignments of patients and caseload according to unit guidelines and established standards of practice.
  • The RN uses positive customer service skills when communicating with patients and their families, utilizes clinical reasoning and critical thinking, and involves patients, family members, and other disciplines in decision-making related to patient care.
  • The RN serves as a patient and family advocate, implements interventions consistent with hospital standards of practice and prescribed medical plan of care, and documents patient assessment, plan of care, and response to intervention.
  • The RN communicates and coordinates patient care to ensure continuity of care, maintains competency in management of clinical emergencies, and provides complete communications in SBAR format to relieving staff members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Medical Nurse Specialist, you must possess:

  • A graduate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • A current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License, with certification in a nursing specialty desired.
  • 2-3 years of nursing experience, with leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English.
