Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Regional Chief Medical Officer and Medical Staff Leaders to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the programs and activities of the Medical Staff.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation bodies' requirements relevant to the organized Medical Staff.
  • Work closely with credentialing specialists to address concerns and document issues with initial and reappointment applications.
  • Provide 100% audit on initial and recredentialing applications, focusing on issues such as e-prescribe, 340-B Program, system access for medical staff (CSARs), and medical record suspension support.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of medical staff services professionals to ensure excellent service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare-related field.
  • CPMSM certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services required.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and other laws/regulations highly preferred.
  • Five years of comprehensive experience as a Medical Services Professional within a hospital setting.
  • Working knowledge of Medical Staff Credentialing concepts and comprehensive knowledge base of state/federal regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to the organized medical staff.
