We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coder to join our team at the ROI Search Group. As a Senior Coder, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the application of medical claims billing codes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and monitoring accurate coding practices based on CMS, state and federal guidelines
  • Monitoring authorization and service category for coding changes and accuracy
  • Collaborating with internal departments and external vendors to ensure the appropriate usage of codes

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Certified Medical Coder (CMC) certification
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Knowledge of NCQA, CMS, ACA IDOI & AAPC coding guidelines is required. Experience in trending coding patterns and conducting regular monitoring and assessment of coding assignment decisions to ensure appropriateness of reimbursement is also necessary.

Working knowledge of overseeing complex audits and ability to troubleshoot, using electronic medical records, audit issues with providers and internal departments is required.

Working knowledge of governmental annual code updates and determinations is also required.
