As a Medical Director, you will be instrumental in overseeing medical operations within a correctional facility. Your role will encompass ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive medical services, including patient examinations and daily health assessments.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide guidance to healthcare staff.
- Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to enhance patient outcomes through quality improvement initiatives.
- Review and approve clinical protocols and policies to ensure adherence to industry standards.
Education:
Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Experience:
Preferred background in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health.
Licenses/Certifications:
Must hold and maintain a valid medical license in the state of practice, along with a current DEA number and CPR certification.
