Geisinger Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Convenient Care team. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our healthcare providers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary clinical support to healthcare providers, patients, and their families to assist in diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions.
- Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing of results in patient medical records.
- Promote a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Meet qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges on assigned clinical areas.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for healthcare providers.
- Provide direct clinical care as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist healthcare providers in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork to expedite laboratory studies.
- Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under the direction of a healthcare provider and within scope of practice.
- Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis and availability of necessary instruments and equipment.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Nursing, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Basic Life Support Certification and Licensed Practical Nurse certification.
- Strong communication, computer literacy, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
