Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft) to join our team at The Bardstown Bourbon Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our distillery, bottling facility, and visitor center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of facility maintenance and repair, including routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform skilled tasks in industrial mechanical and electrical duties, such as PLC, MCC installation and maintenance, distillery equipment maintenance and installation, including but not limited to hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps.
  • Maintain boiler operation, softeners, and R.O. System.
  • Operate a forklift and oversee the operation of cooling towers and chilled water systems.
  • Have a working knowledge of all operations in all areas of the distillery.
  • Maintain equipment in the events and visitor area.
  • Assist in Quality Control testing and any cleaning that may be needed.
  • Read basic electrical schematics and pneumatic schematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions as well as procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to read, analyze and record data.
  • Must be able to visually inspect equipment for compliance to SOPs and other safety standards.
  • Commitment for the Company's ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Strong background in basic electrical, plumbing, welding, pumps, motors, and electronics.
  • Experience in team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Have a valid Kentucky driver's license.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Must be able to work in high-temperature environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis from floor to shoulder.
  • Must be able to physically navigate around a plant/production environment, including the repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.
  • Must not be afraid of working heights and be able to ascend and descend ladders and in aerial lifts, as appropriate.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Continual amount of walking during a 12-hour shift.
