The Bardstown Bourbon Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft) to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our distillery and facilities.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operation of facility maintenance and repair, both routine and preventative.
- Maintain boiler operation, softeners, and R.O. System.
- Operate a forklift and oversee the operation of cooling towers and chilled water systems.
- Read basic electrical schematics and pneumatic schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions as well as procedure manuals.
- Must be able to read, analyze and record data.
- Must be able to visually inspect equipment for compliance to SOPs and other safety standards.
- Commitment for the Company's ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 year of age or older.
- Strong background in basic electrical, plumbing, welding, pumps, motors, and electronics.
- Experience in team-based manufacturing environment.
- Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and problem solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills.
- Have a valid Kentucky driver's license.
- Must be able to stand; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Must be able to work in high temperature environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis from floor to shoulder.
- Must be able to physically navigate around a plant/production environment, including the repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.
- Must not be afraid of working heights and be able to ascend and descend ladders and in aerial lifts, as appropriate.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Continual amount of walking during a 12 hour shift.
