About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Aesthetician to join our team at Duke Eye Oculofacial Plastic Surgery in Raleigh, NC. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect care to patients, utilizing your expertise in skin care to enhance their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skin care services, including assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Recognize signs and symptoms indicative of patient needs and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest skin care products and procedures, adhering to established policies and protocols.
  • Implement physicians' orders and work closely with referring physicians to develop personalized skin care plans.
  • Prepare, administer, and document procedures and therapies according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient activities and revenue received.
  • Assist in marketing, planning, and implementation of programs and services, as well as assist with budget planning.
  • Provide consultations, information, and supportive teaching to patients, responding to their questions and concerns.
  • Perform skin consultations, facials, peels, microdermabrasion, and Blu-U treatments using recommended procedures.
  • Document return visits, referrals, and scheduling of procedures according to policy.
  • Maintain aesthetic and cosmetic equipment in working order, checking inventory weekly to prevent depletion of stock.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Current License in Aesthetics from North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners.
