Position Overview: This role is integral to the Ambulatory Imaging Division, focusing on advanced sonography techniques. The successful candidate will be engaged in a range of technical tasks related to sonographic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive sonographic assessments and diagnostic imaging in accordance with established protocols and patient safety standards.
  • Utilize cognitive skills to identify and adapt procedures based on anatomical and pathological findings.
  • Independently analyze sonograms and synthesize medical history to communicate results effectively to the Radiologist.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies, ensuring timely ordering and availability.
  • Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, addressing their questions and concerns with professionalism.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout their imaging experience.
  • Exhibit proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including proper disinfecting techniques for equipment.
  • Complete billing and charge reconciliation accurately on a daily basis.
  • Assist in training new staff and support the operational functions of the Ultrasound Department.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited program meeting eligibility for registry/certification.
  • ARDMS certification is required within a specified timeframe.
  • Experience requirements vary by level, with a minimum of two years preferred for advanced positions.
