Job Description:
This Construction Superintendent will be responsible for:
- Project Planning: Review plans and specifications, develop and maintain project schedules, plan and organize job site logistics, and assist in securing building permits.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control costs related to General Conditions, approve subcontractor draws and invoices, and approve field expenses.
- Project Administration: Produce daily activity reports, monitor and update project schedules, provide direction and coordination to subcontractors, and maintain as-built drawings.
- Relations & Leadership: Foster a cooperative relationship among the construction team, develop teamwork atmosphere with subcontractors, ensure working relationships with management teams, and address concerns promptly.
- Safety & Risk Management: Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures, maintain construction sites according to OSHA guidelines, conduct weekly safety meetings, identify and correct safety violations, and coordinate safety assessments.
- Field Operations: Assemble teams to oversee on-site activities, monitor construction progress, conduct on-site meetings, create and maintain harmonious team environments, and secure building inspections and certificates of occupancy.
- Associate Development: Provide training, guidance, and career development for subordinates, offer constructive feedback, evaluation, and praise, act as a role model and mentor, exhibit fairness and professional ethics, and provide opportunities for career growth and personal development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction, with at least 5 years' supervisory experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and negotiate with subcontractors.
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods, ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Procore, and ability to work well in a team environment.
- A valid driver's license and OSHA 30 certification.
What We Offer:
