Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team at Johns Hopkins University. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic studies as delegated by supervising physicians.
- Initiate IV therapy, perform injections, and administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Participate in emergency situations, including basic and advanced life support.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement clinical protocols and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or similar national certifying body.
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland or other state where practicing.
- Experience in Emergency Medicine or related field preferred.
This is a full-time position with a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Sunday, with varied shifts. The successful candidate will be required to maintain current licensure and certification during the duration of employment.
