Job Summary

The Assistant Manager is responsible for driving results in customer contact work by phone. This primarily involves making contact via the telephone and scheduling office visits with customers. The Assistant Manager also assists the Branch Manager by selling financial products and services to meet an acceptable monthly branch profit.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

The Assistant Manager's duties will include completing delinquent telephone work as directed by the manager. Assistant Managers must have initiative and the ability to work independently.

Other Functions and Responsibilities
  1. Makes telephone collection calls to delinquent customers and reports activities on each customer to the branch manager.
  2. Adjusts past-due payments for current slow customers.
  3. Assists in answering telephone, posting customer payments, inputting new and refinanced loans into the loan software system, processing loan applications, and preparing refinance and delinquency mail.
  4. Participates in training development opportunities as directed by the Manager and District Supervisor.
  5. Prepares weekly and monthly reports.
  6. Maintains daily tabulation of delinquency report which is generated by the computer.
  7. Gives customer's credit experience to inquiring creditors.
  8. Assists in maintaining standards in all areas of delinquency, loan volume, and growth goals, along with the 10th, 20th and month end standards.
  9. Makes Daily Deposit when assigned or if the Manager is not present.
  10. Sells financial products and services offered.
  11. It is the branch personnel's responsibility to consistently achieve company production standards.
Qualifications

Previous experience in collections or the finance industry is a plus. The Assistant Manager must have strong communication skills, the ability to lead, problem-solving skills, and computer skills.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalence is required.
