As the Recreation Program Coordinator, you will be entrusted with the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability essential for executing your designated tasks.
The primary objective of this role is to design, organize, and oversee the comprehensive operation of the Activity Department, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and Develop: Create, implement, and assess the activity programs tailored to meet the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
- Community Engagement: Participate in community initiatives that align with the interests of the facility and address the services and requirements of residents and their families.
- Administrative Duties: Complete necessary documentation, reports, and forms, submitting them to the appropriate administrative personnel as required.
- Daily Oversight: Conduct regular rounds to ensure that all activity programs are effectively communicated to residents.
- Foster a Positive Environment: Cultivate an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positivity throughout the facility.
- Resource Management: Ensure that all necessary supplies for activities are readily available and assist residents with appointments as needed.
- Community Involvement: Engage in community service projects and inter-generational programs that promote connection and purpose.
- Advocacy: Champion positive changes within the facility and mentor new residents as they integrate into our community.
- Encourage Social Interaction: Incorporate activities that promote friendships among residents and provide various entertainment options that enhance enjoyment and camaraderie.
- Focus on Wellness: Emphasize personal fitness, health, beauty, and vitality through engaging activities.
Ideal candidates will possess the ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies. Leadership skills and a collaborative spirit are essential for success in this role.
Physical requirements include the ability to move throughout the facility and to lift or carry weights of at least ten pounds. Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
