Responsibilities:

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Program is designed as a learning opportunity under the guidance of experienced Maintenance Technicians. This program spans 6 months to 2 years and is intended for individuals aiming to achieve Airframe and Powerplant Certification.

Compensation: $14.90/hr

  • Support Maintenance Technicians and Lead Maintenance Technicians in all maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance such as inspection, adjustment, cleaning, and replacement.
  • Gain essential knowledge and skills through On-the-Job Training (OJT) and self-directed study to perform routine maintenance repairs on aircraft within 4 months of hire.
  • Document all work performed according to relevant manuals, including but not limited to the Maintenance Manual (MM), Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual (RSM/QCM), General Operating Procedures (GOPs), and Structure Repair Manual (SRM) within 3 months of hire.
  • Adhere to all environmental health and safety policies and procedures. Assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications of aircraft systems and components.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned. Duties may evolve based on circumstances such as emergencies, workload fluctuations, or technical advancements.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled and actively participating in a part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School pursuing A&P Certification.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Badge.
  • General mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum technical experience in an industrial setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience with CMMS.
  • Minimum of 1 year of material handling experience.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Flexibility with time and ability to quickly adapt priorities based on operational needs.
  • Team-oriented with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented.
  • Capability to resolve issues under pressure.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and initiative; eager to grow and develop within the organization.
  • Basic computer and equipment proficiency.
  • Must pass a background check and secure all necessary badging.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and work stands unassisted; work from stands and lift trucks.
  • Ability to squat, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently in confined spaces.
  • Capacity to lift up to 85 pounds unassisted.
  • Willingness to work in environments subject to varying climate conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to clearly write, read, and speak English.
