As an Internship in Construction Project Management, you will collaborate with experienced project managers, estimators, and site supervisors to contribute to all stages of construction initiatives, from initial design to final delivery.

Your duties will include drafting comprehensive project scopes, leading project kick-off meetings, developing and updating construction timelines, organizing job site logistics, coordinating timely inspections, advocating for on-site safety, and ensuring the thorough completion of the final punch list.


Project Management Responsibilities:
Assist the project team in achieving project timelines and financial targets.

Support the management of multiple projects efficiently, tracking overall project advancement in line with the project scope and available resources.

Engage in estimating the duration required for project completion. Review and validate cost estimates to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with the Project Manager and Director of Construction to create project work scopes.

During the preconstruction phase, assist with permitting, value engineering, take-offs, pre-bid coordination, bidding processes, post-bid coordination and meetings, design team discussions, project team selection, and subcontract issuance.

Aid in managing subcontractors in accordance with work scopes and contracts.
Assist in developing and maintaining a comprehensive construction schedule. Participate in project kick-off meetings, implement and enforce site safety plans. Coordinate with owners and subcontractors. Help prepare and execute project work plans. Organize temporary utilities and job site mobilization. Monitor and notify the project team of any changes in project scope, updating schedules as necessary.
Inform the Project Manager of any changes that may impact project scope, schedule, or completion. Distribute all addenda/bulletin changes to the project team.
Assist in scheduling and conducting general inspections of workers, their performance, and safety during construction.

Problem-Solving Duties:
Ensure a well-organized job site is maintained throughout the project duration. Help coordinate and supervise all construction activities. Document daily field reports of all construction activities.
Evaluate field conditions and their potential impact on other disciplines.
Collaborate with Lead Construction Operations to review project-specific errors/omissions and assist in resolving them.
Prepare, schedule, and oversee the completion of a final punch list.

During the Closeout phase, assist with job site de-mobilization, closeout documentation, and ensure compliance with "green" community closeout requirements to obtain government credits or LEED certification.


Communication and Networking:
Engage with various disciplines throughout Wolverine Building Group.

Maintain regular communication with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimators, Architects, and Directors of Construction to stay informed about any changes to project design, scope, schedule, and budget.


Maintain project documentation by receiving, reviewing, creating, and distributing items including but not limited to submittals, logs, daily and weekly reports, plans and specifications, RFIs and bulletins, meeting minutes, schedules, change orders, etc.

Promote job site safety and encourage safe work practices.
