Position Overview:

Our client, a newly established café, is a fresh addition to the local dining landscape. We are seeking skilled Baristas/Servers to deliver outstanding service and craft unforgettable experiences for our patrons. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the launch of our café and demonstrate your expertise in a vibrant and fast-paced setting. Candidates must hold a valid NASSAU food handling license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and interact with customers in a warm and inviting manner.
  • Inform customers about our menu selections, including various beverages and light food options.
  • Accurately take orders, considering individual requests and dietary needs.
  • Prepare and serve a diverse range of hot and cold drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences.
  • Efficiently handle cash, debit, and credit transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized café environment, including service and seating areas.
  • Ensure espresso machines and brewing equipment are clean and functioning properly.
  • Comply with health and safety standards, including sanitation and food handling protocols.
  • Relay customer feedback to management and propose enhancements or new menu ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Barista, Food Server, or in a similar capacity within a café or restaurant.
  • Possession of a Nassau Food Handlers license is required.
  • Practical experience with espresso machines and brewing tools.
  • Understanding of sanitation regulations and food safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing orders.
  • Strong communication abilities and a positive approach to customer and coworker interactions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certifications are advantageous.
