Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Team Member to join our team at Stauffers of Kissel Hill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare pizzas for 'made to order' requests, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare take-out sandwiches and salads, both for the case and for 'made to order' requests.
  • Sharpen and clean slicer, following proper safety procedures and using correct equipment.
  • Prepare and cook rotisserie chicken, fried chicken, and other products to meet customer demands.
  • Present menu to customers, make suggestions, and answer questions regarding food and service.
  • Understand catering guide to take special orders and follow procedures for completion of orders.
  • Clean department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Operate equipment as needed, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Operate price scale with knowledge of current prices, pricing or changing price tags on merchandise in coordination with the scan department.
  • Package merchandise according to departmental guidelines.
  • Receive, open, and unpack cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received and promptly clearing the floor of restocking equipment and debris.
  • Rotate product according to departmental guidelines.
  • Set and sign displays of merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
  • Take and process customer orders according to customer request, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
  • Take inventory or examine merchandise on a regular basis to identify items needing to be reordered or replenished.
Requirements
  • Regularly exposed to hot temperatures while working around kitchen equipment.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
