Job Summary

As a skilled Machinist - Lathe Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining horizontal and vertical lathe and turning machines to produce high-quality metal products. You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure that all products meet the required specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and operation of vertical and horizontal engine lathes and honing machines
  • Setup and operation of horizontal CNC turning equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate production
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure quality control
  • Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to resolve any production issues
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical certificate preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC and manual turning centers
  • Experience with rigging, welding, milling, and industrial safety practices preferred
  • Able to read mechanical blueprints and interpret G & M-Code
  • MAZATROL & Siemens programming experience preferred
Work Environment
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and potential risks of electrical shock and radiation
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and safety
