Job Summary:

As a Bank Teller at Southern Bancorp, you will provide exceptional customer service to our clients, handling cash transactions, and responding to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining accurate cash levels, processing deposits and withdrawals, and verifying customer information. You will also be responsible for cross-selling bank services and products, as well as assisting with opening new accounts and completing required training.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide assistance with their banking needs
• Maintain accurate cash levels and secure cash in drawers
• Process deposits and withdrawals, verifying customer information and ensuring accuracy
• Cross-sell bank services and products to customers
• Assist with opening new accounts and completing required training
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One to two years of customer service and cash handling experience, preferably in a bank or financial institution
• Strong customer contact skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and accurate, with good mathematical aptitude
• Ability to operate a computer terminal and other general office equipment
• Willingness to be involved and represent Southern Bancorp through civic and community organizations
