Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in our culinary operations. Your main duties will include:
- Supporting the Chef/Kitchen Manager in daily kitchen activities and overseeing the preparation of salads, soups, and other offerings.
- Collaborating with the Chef/Kitchen Manager to ensure timely order fulfillment and production schedules.
- Managing stock levels and assisting customers as needed.
- Assisting in maintaining an inventory of fresh ingredients and supplies.
- Working closely with departments such as Meat, Seafood, Produce, and Grocery.
- Training and assessing team members as required.
- Fostering positive relationships with customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety sanitation standards.
- Holding a current Food Handler card.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a culinary role. While catering experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Availability for various shifts, including weekends, is required. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
