Job Summary

We are seeking a Crisis Evaluator to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will assess patients in the emergency room and throughout the hospital, ensuring placement according to their age, identified problems, and needs. The Crisis Evaluator will provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when needed, working effectively with physicians, nurses, and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients in the emergency room and throughout the hospital
  • Ensure placement according to patient needs and age
  • Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed
  • Work effectively with multidisciplinary team members
Requirements
  • Current valid license as a Registered Nurse, MFT, or LCSW issued by the State
  • LPS certification preferred or needs to obtain prior to commencement of employment
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • Minimum two (3) years experience in an Inpatient Psychiatric unit
  • Assaultive Behavior Management training within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually
  • DMH certification required for 5150 detention
