Purpose of the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing multiple social media accounts, developing engaging content to inform, educate, and interact with our brand's audience, and increasing awareness and achieving marketing goals. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of major content management systems and social media analytics, as well as experience in running targeted ads on social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation — Assist in filming and editing our weekly social media segments, ensuring high-quality content that resonates with our audience.
  • Social Media Management — Schedule posts, track followers, gain followers, and stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends.
  • Videography — Utilize an iPhone to shoot stories, social media segments, care walk-around videos for customers, and staff videos.
  • Video Editing — Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, with the option to learn and develop skills in this area.
  • Storytelling — Pitch stories for the dealership to cover in our social media segments, creating a clear vision for each story and developing a short package-style video that captures followers' hearts and minds.
  • Marketing — Participate in meetings with our marketing firm to discuss Facebook and YouTube ads, targeting specific areas and households for maximum views.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a college program related to public relations, social media, digital communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Internet research skills.
  • Mastery of major social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google, TikTok.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics software, including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, and Twitter Analytics, to track audience engagement and campaign performance.
  • Experience with content management systems, word processor applications, and image/video editing software.
