Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Hardware Manufacturing Specialist to join our team in North Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work on complex electronic hardware projects.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $68,900.00 - $124,550.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement conformal coating processes using automated or manual dispensing methods.
  2. Design and implement coatings using both automated machines and/or manual process on PCBA's or subassemblies.
  3. Conduct trials and experimentations to support customer requirements, engineering, production, and R&D activities.
  4. Develop and recommend new processes to improve cost-effectiveness and product quality.
  5. Create and set operating equipment specifications.
  6. Assist manufacturing operations in problem-solving with regards to equipment and systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or a science or technical discipline) from an accredited university with 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Conformal Coating processes and equipment. Experience with Asymtek, PVA, SCS, automated coating machines is a plus.
  • Ability to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents, and other documents used to support proposal efforts is a plus.
  • Experience with Costpoint Material Planning software and/or Agile product lifecycle management software is a plus. Experience in various quality roles is also a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience on programs designing and building electronic hardware to government specifications (or similar).
  • Experience with software that maintains bills of materials, and other engineering design data.
  • Experience with electronics used on launch vehicles, targets, or missile components, and with production of cable harnesses, electronics, and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates on both schedule and cost.
  • Current or prior certification to IPC/WHMA-A-610 & J-STD-001.
