Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at All Medical Personnel. As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering top-notch medical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations, maintaining a high standard of hygiene.
  • Interview patients to obtain their medical history, using active listening skills to ensure accurate information.
  • Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks, using manual blood pressure equipment.
  • Draw blood, remove sutures, and change dressings, following proper medical protocols.
  • Perform Weekly Inventory and maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments, adhering to OSHA regulations.
  • Properly dispose of contaminated supplies, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, handing over instruments and materials as needed.
  • Perform immunizations and administer injections as requested by the provider, following proper medical procedures.
  • Set up rooms and assist providers for suturing and I&Ds, using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Perform Ear Irrigations, following established medical protocols.

Requirements:
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or 2 years Associate's degree.
  • 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPR and first aid certification required; certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
  • Comfortable communicating with patients of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Active listening, social perceptiveness, and monitoring of patient vitals with clear and concise documentation.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times and understand and follow OSHA regulations (Blood Borne Pathogens).
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and comfortable with computers, typing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
