Job Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the production of SICK systems and control panels in our Minneapolis facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and populate support structures with SICK equipment, utilizing hand tools and basic construction knowledge.
  • Make electrical connections of SICK equipment and control panels.
  • Configure SICK products using laptop and configuration software.
  • Provide commissioning of installed equipment following established criteria.
  • Perform start-up support, monitor installed equipment for proper operation, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace SICK equipment.
  • Act as a site lead for small to mid-sized projects, responsible for determining onsite schedules, assigning resources, and reporting issues to management.
  • Train others on skills required to complete equipment builds.
  • Provide technical support during normal business hours.
  • Ensure product quality on assigned projects.
  • Support limited field installations as required.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness.

Requirements:

  • Two-year college degree, technical school, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2-5 years of prior technical production experience, preferably in logistics automation, factory automation, or similar industries.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Strong hands-on work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
