Rehabilitation Counselor

Become a vital part of Dismas Charities, a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing community-based adult re-entry services. Our mission is to deliver effective and compassionate supervision and treatment options for individuals transitioning back into society.

As a Counselor, you will oversee the adherence to the agency's established policies and procedures related to counseling and treatment programs. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing, coordinating, and documenting individualized program plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Monitoring and evaluating client progress while implementing relevant counseling strategies.
• Maintaining accurate records and timely submissions within the FreshStart Client Management System.
• Communicating essential information to supervisory staff regarding client status and agency operations.
• Providing coverage for staff duties as scheduled and participating in all required meetings.
• Fostering collaborative relationships with supervising authorities, community organizations, and professional associations.

In the event of operational disruptions, you will be expected to fulfill all necessary duties to ensure the center's functionality.

The position offers a competitive salary of $16.50 per hour, along with a $500 sign-on bonus, which is distributed in two installments. This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A four-year degree in social human services, criminal justice, or a behavioral science discipline from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of experience in human services or community-based support.
• Proficiency in PC operations, particularly with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, focusing on Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, typing, spelling, grammar, and communication skills.
