Key Responsibilities:
As a Counselor, you will oversee the adherence to the agency's policies and procedures within the counseling and treatment programs. Your role will include:
- Developing, coordinating, and documenting personalized program plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Implementing individual, family, and group counseling strategies to support client growth.
- Monitoring resident behavior and progress, ensuring accurate documentation in the FreshStart Client Management System.
- Communicating essential information to supervisory staff regarding residents and program operations.
- Participating in all required meetings and providing scheduled staff coverage.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with supervising authorities and community organizations.
In the event of a work stoppage, you will be expected to fulfill all necessary staffing duties.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A four-year degree in social human services, criminal justice, or a behavioral science discipline from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of one year of experience in human services or community-based programs.
- Proficiency in personal computer operations, particularly with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, focusing on Word and Excel.
- Strong typing, spelling, grammar, organizational, and communication skills.
