Job Summary

Vallourec Star LP is seeking a skilled Workforce Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for tracking employee progress in our Skill Based Development (SBD) work system and communicating with department leadership on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor employee progress in the SBD work system and provide regular updates to department leadership.
  • Document Coordination: Prepare advancement packets for presentation to the SBD review board and coordinate progression documents.
  • Training Scheduling: Schedule and track training associated with the SBD program, including on-the-job cross training, technical training, and soft skills development.
  • Training Coordination: Work with the Training and Development department to coordinate shop floor training and establish processes for scheduling and documenting training activity.
  • Learning Management System Administration: Enter training rosters in the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure accurate tracking of employee training.
  • On-Site Trainer Coordination: Coordinate with on-site trainers to ensure effective training delivery.
  • Training Needs Assessment: Conduct annual/semi-annual assessments to identify training needs and develop strategies to meet SBD objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with leadership to meet SBD objectives and drive business results.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); ability to apply logical analysis and reasoning skills to develop optimal scheduling plans.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of basic objectives of each job and training session; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
