Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cross Border Logistics Coordinator at Point Dedicated Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of international freight, ensuring seamless communication with our Mexican carrier base, and utilizing our Transportation Management System (TMS) to update our teams, customers, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain daily coverage with Mexican carrier base for freight entering and departing Mexico.
  • Update our TMS system to ensure accurate and timely information sharing with our teams, customers, and carriers.
  • Plan and coordinate the daily schedule of loads to optimize logistics and minimize delays.
  • Negotiate rates with current providers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality service.
  • Assign, dispatch, monitor, and update international shipments using company-provided tools.
  • Provide timely updates to customers via our website, customer portal, or phone.
  • Manage customs paperwork to facilitate smooth border crossings for partner carriers and our trucks.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fluent Spanish and English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
  • At least 2 years of experience in cross-border logistics or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in an office setting.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new procedures and be trained as needed.
