About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Geologist to join our Kalgoorlie Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and supervising drill programs that add value to existing resources, locating the next viable ore bodies, and extending the Life of Mine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing training and mentorship to Junior Geologists, coordinating drilling programs, supervising drill contractors, and overseeing geological data analysis and modeling.

This permanent position comes with a competitive salary of around $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location of Kalgoorlie. You will also enjoy a residential roster of 8:6, 12 hours per day, relocation packages to assist with moving to Kalgoorlie, and the opportunity to work with a company that prioritizes career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and supervise drill programs to add value to existing resources
  • Locate the next viable ore bodies and extend the Life of Mine
  • Provide training and mentorship to Junior Geologists
  • Coordinate drilling programs and supervise drill contractors
  • Oversee geological data analysis and modeling
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geology (minimum degree)
  • Minimum Three (3) years' geology experience in a mining environment, preferably within a gold mining operation
  • Experience with software packages such as Datamine, Leapfrog, and Acquire
  • Exposure to geological modeling and wireframing
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers Licence
