We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Maintenance Superintendent to lead the Maintenance teams at our Kanowna Belle Operations in Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Processing Manager, join our esteemed team on a 5/2/4/3 (10 hour days) residential roster. The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Provide leadership and direction to the site team that supports the business strategy and NST core values.
- Monitor maintenance work and projects to ensure maintenance work meets operational needs and NSR standards.
- Assist personnel by investigating maintenance problems, recommending solutions, providing technical direction and advice, aiding in the selection of equipment.
- Provide input into budget preparation and control costs by monitoring and explaining variances.
- Mentor, coach and develop succession plans for all critical positions and facilitate ongoing employee skills assessment and development.
- Day to day management of the Fixed Plant Maintenance functions and manage compliance of corporate policies and standards.
- Identifying opportunities that add value to the business by fostering continuous improvement across key functional groups within the Maintenance Department.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: The successful applicant will have a high level of demonstrated experience leading large teams including the capacity to motivate, mentor and influence others. A minimum of 5-10 years experience in fixed plant maintenance management, supervision and preventative maintenance programmes with 3-5 years hands on industrial maintenance experience. Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, cost management, planning and scheduling is highly regarded.
Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence, Trade qualification in a relevant field, and a tertiary qualification (minimum degree level) in Engineering (mechanical or electrical) highly regarded.
