Position Overview: We are in search of a seasoned Director of Engineering Operations to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking leader with a robust technical foundation and a proven track record in managing engineering teams and projects. In this role, you will supervise all engineering functions, champion innovation, and guarantee the effective delivery of technical solutions to our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the engineering division, including project managers, engineers, and support personnel.
- Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to fulfill engineering and organizational objectives.
- Manage the design, development, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timelines.
- Encourage a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork within the engineering department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering projects with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Administer resource allocation, budgeting, and performance assessments for the engineering division.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends to foster innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members to facilitate professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; a Master's degree is preferred. A Professional Engineering License (PE) is required.
- At least 10 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in heavy industrial projects involving process machinery and pressure vessels.
- Demonstrated ability to meet client expectations across various sectors, including oil refining, natural gas, specialty chemicals, and food industries.
- Familiarity with B31.1/B31.3 piping design and inline devices.
- Experience in facility design and managing intricate engineering projects.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to excel in a dynamic environment and proficiency in engineering software and tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
