Position Overview

The Radiologic Technologist plays a vital role within our dedicated team of professionals, providing essential services that uphold our standards of care and values.

The Radiologic Technologist is tasked with conducting imaging procedures tailored to the needs of the Care Center or Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role involves assisting in patient care to meet defined outcomes and achieve the facility's objectives as directed by the Leadership Team. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with the designated scope of practice, key duties, and under the guidance of Clinical Leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining proficiency in radiation equipment, including routine maintenance and care.
  • Conducting radiologic examinations in alignment with Care Center and/or Ambulatory Surgery Center protocols.
  • Operating radiologic and PACS equipment effectively.
  • Ensuring proper patient positioning during procedures.
  • Calculating exposure factors while adhering to radiation protection principles.
  • Addressing patient needs throughout examinations.
  • Evaluating procedure rooms and imaging equipment for technical quality, archiving images according to established policies.
  • Practicing sterile techniques when operating in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, reports, and files in the Electronic Medical Record or paper chart as required.
  • Coordinating the printing of images, copying films, and retrieving images for surgical procedures.
  • Calculating and regulating equipment settings using established techniques and expertise.
  • Assisting patients before and after procedures in accordance with facility policies.
  • Performing housekeeping tasks as necessary to ensure a safe environment for patients, team members, physicians, and visitors.
  • Supporting other personnel as directed by the Leadership Team.
  • Completing additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhering to all policies introduced during onboarding and outlined in the Associate Handbook.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist in Washington State (WSRT).
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical radiology experience is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or proof of current BCLS certification.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work may occur in both office and clinical settings. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges. Regular communication is necessary, involving talking and listening. Occasionally, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds may be required. The position may involve working under stressful conditions or irregular hours.
