Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant/CNA to join our team at RiverWoods Exeter. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct resident care and support to our senior citizens, promoting their health, independence, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
  • Assist with mobility and functional nursing care, including transfers, ambulation, ROM, splint application, positioning, sit-stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, and whirlpool therapy.
  • Develop professional relationships with residents, family members, co-workers, and supervisors, fostering open communication and mutual respect.
  • Assist with assessments and treatment procedures, including TPRs, BP readings, weights, specimen collection, skin care, O2 stats, and O2 therapy.
  • Follow Infection Control guidelines, including Standard Precautions, handling of biohazardous materials, and isolation techniques.
  • Assist with care protocols, including falls prevention, safety and elopement, behavior management, skin integrity, and bowel and bladder management.
  • Provide assistance with nutritional and hydration needs.
  • Accept resident assignment and direction from the Nurse Leader.
  • Contribute to the general care and order of resident rooms, belongings, and common areas.
  • Cooperate with the overall needs of the facility during times of increased demands.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working directly with senior citizens is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team-focused environment and provide excellent resident care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow Infection Control guidelines and facility protocols.
