I. Job Overview

Presents the comprehensive range of Waste Management services to potential customers or within a designated area of responsibility. Oversees current revenue streams and identifies new revenue opportunities within a specified geographical territory. Strives to meet or surpass individual sales targets for new business with industrial and hazardous waste clients.

II. Key Responsibilities

• Cultivates and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external clients.

• Collaborates and coordinates with other members of the industrial sales team.

• Achieves or exceeds established revenue targets for new business with industrial and hazardous waste clients in the assigned sales area.

• Sustains existing business relationships; identifies new waste streams and potential clients. Focuses on securing event business opportunities.

• Enhances pre-tax profits through innovative pricing and contracting approaches.

• Develops a thorough sales strategy for the assigned territory aligned with division sales objectives and goals.

• Works closely with Technical Service Representatives to support clients throughout the waste disposal process, including waste profiling, proposal development, pricing, contracting, and providing regulatory updates.

• Demonstrates a solid understanding of industrial and hazardous waste regulations (RCRA, TSCA, CERCLA).

• Exhibits exceptional sales and organizational abilities.


• Recognizes local market trends and implements basic strategies to counteract competitive actions, pricing challenges, and regulatory changes.

• Assists in the collection of receivables within the agreed timeframe.

• Communicates market and competitive insights to management to aid in business planning and strategy development.

• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

• Submits monthly sales reports, commission statements, and expense reports punctually.

• Participates in industrial sales meetings and training sessions as necessary.

• Undertakes special projects and additional tasks as assigned by the Industrial Sales Manager.

III. Qualifications

The qualifications listed below are representative of the skills and experience required to perform this role.

A. Education and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or, in lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma or GED (accredited) along with 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in industrial or hazardous waste sales (in addition to the educational requirement).

B. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements

• CHMM or equivalent certification is preferred.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required

• Industry experience is highly preferred for this position.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and DOT requirements is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Must be self-driven and possess outstanding organizational skills.

REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


• Must be capable of interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and managing several abstract and concrete variables.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory bodies, or members of the business community.

• Must demonstrate the capability to write reports and business correspondence. Must effectively present information to senior management, public groups, clients, and the community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

• Must be able to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

IV. Work Environment

• This position primarily operates in a professional office setting and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines.Benefits
