About the Role

As a software engineer at Google, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing cutting-edge technologies that transform the way billions of users interact with information and each other.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions to meet the needs of Google's products and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Contribute to the development of software architecture, design patterns, and coding standards to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of software systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding best practices, including style guidelines, testing, and debugging.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new tools and techniques to continuously improve software development processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in programming languages, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with Android application development, mobile operating systems, and related technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with performance optimization, large-scale system design, data analysis, visualization tools, and debugging.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, as well as software test engineering.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies and a strong commitment to inclusive design.
