Substation Construction Apprentice Lineperson

We are seeking an experienced Substation Construction Apprentice Lineperson to join our team at Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC. As a key member of our Substation Construction and Maintenance Department, you will assist with the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment and hardware.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with groundwork and ensure safe jobsite conditions.
- Assemble materials on the ground and install conduit and cable in ditches and hardware from aerial devices.
- Excavate to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
- Operate motorized equipment and use hand tools to perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Work at varying heights above ground with proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Operate various tools for the work, including manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, saws, jack hammer, and power tamp.
- Communicate with public and private property owners to discuss work to be performed.
- Participate in company training of all regional safety guidelines and perform all work by regional safety policies.
- Work around hazardous and near energized parts or equipment.
- Work around excessive noise from machines, jackhammers, saws, and other equipment with proper hearing protection.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience in wire stringing operations, wire sagging methods, assembly, and installation of various hardware assemblies.
- Able to work with hands above head for extended periods, work efficiently and effectively from heights, walk, climb, and work from ladders or at various heights on uneven and slippery surfaces, and perform mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions.
- Follow directions, work safely and productively, safely enter and exit the aerial device and rear-end of the bucket truck, and meet and maintain weight restrictions for the bucket truck.
