The RoleWe're seeking an experienced Barista to join our team As a critical member of our coffee shop experience, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, maintaining a positive and upbeat vibe, and performing job-specific duties with precision and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Provide friendly, efficient service to guests, including greeting, taking orders, and processing payments
- Create a rapport with guests by learning their names and favorite products
- Educate guests on all food, beverage, and marketplace products
- Prepare coffee, tea, and espresso-based drinks, as well as a variety of food items
- Bag, box, wrap, or gift-wrap customer purchases
- Assist with store operations, including cash counts, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment
- Support a positive work environment and communicate effectively with team members and management
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- At least 2 years of barista experience
- Well-versed in performing monetary transactions, including giving and receiving change
- Previous experience operating a POS terminal and maintaining/balancing a cash drawer during shift changes
- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
