- One to three years experience as a Registered Nurse
- Cardiac operating room nursing experience is essential
- Valid RN license in the state where you'll be practicing
- BLS certification
- Perioperative Nursing Certification (CNOR) is preferred
As a Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse, you'll be responsible for:
- Communicating and collaborating with physicians and other health team members
- Providing and coordinating patient care with other health team members
- Monitoring patients' responses to interventions and reporting outcomes
- Administering medications as ordered with appropriate documentation
- Monitoring and evaluating patients before, during, and post procedure depending on unit
- Sharing on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required
- Maintaining cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
- Transporting patients as needed
