Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Support healthcare professionals with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, processing medical records, and communicating with patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all necessary information is documented and easily accessible.
Requirements
  • Current BLS, CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • MA credentialing or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • 1+ years clinic experience or related experience in a medical setting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
  • Computer experience including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Medical Assistance certification.
  • EMR training.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, extensive walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Flexible hours are required, and the ability to bend and sit is necessary.
